Tricia Nicole Velasco-Catera concentrates her practice in developing intellectual property strategies. She represents a wide range of clients in defending or asserting their claims involving complex and cutting-edge patent and trademark infringement issues. Recently, she has developed a keen interest in the exciting area of gaming law and has widened her practice to advice clients on various governmental regulations on the area of law.

With valuable experience as a law clerk, however, Atty. Catera is in her element as an appellate lawyer. She is exceptional at writing appeals, memoranda and other writing-intensive projects on behalf of her clients. Also an educator, she has served Adamson University as a professor of law focusing on Statutory Construction and Partnership and Agency.

A multi-hyphenate, Atty. Catera is also a business woman engaged in various enterprises. Thus, she is capable in advising upstarts and emerging businesses in all possible legal questions that might involve representations before government agencies and entities.

Prior to entering private practice, she served as the Judicial Staff Head for Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco, Jr. of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. She was likewise involved in US patent application practice with Kerr IP Group, LLC. Presently, she is also serving as the Chief of Staff of one of the newly elected representatives in the Legislative Department. Atty. Catera took her pre-law and Juris Doctor degrees from the Ateneo de Manila University.
